Your library is one of the most beautiful, newest and most modern children's library in Somogy county.

In the children's section of the BRTK Library, in a pleasant environment, you can choose the books you like the most from nearly 21,000 volumes. In addition to the many tales, novels and popularity volumes, you will also find a play corner, a Kamasz Corner, a wide selection of children's and youth journals, and a wide variety of programmes.

If you only want to spend the holidays in a good mood, you can try our board games, puzzles, other games, you can color and craft, but come to us even if you only read a few pages on the terrace.

All you have to do is visit us (at least for the first time with a parent). On our website you will find what you can borrow, what are the conditions of the loan, how long it lasts and what leisure activities we offer you.

We welcome all 0-16 year old children in our library with their parents and grandparents!

I am enrolling

There is no minimum age for enrollment. In order to become a member of the library, you must ask your parents, to accompany you to the children's library. You will need an ID card and address card to enroll.

You don't have to pay an enrollment fee because Up to 16 years free of charge use of the children's section.

From now on, you can borrow. You can use the services of the library for 1 year from the date of enrollment, after which you have to renew your membership.

I read locally

In the children's section you will find a place called: CLOTHING. You have to put your bag and coat down here before you go to the books.

If you don't want to take the books home because they are difficult, or you just want to spend some time with your parents reading stories, looking at pictures, or just want to be alone among the books without your parents, then You can read it locally the volumes.

There are magazines and books that you can't borrow. You can read and look at them in the children's section.

I'll take a book

Once you've completed your enrollment, you can borrow a book.

5 books at a time you can borrow 28 days. If you can't read the books or want to see them again, you can do it twice. extension to ask. I can't find the book

Would you like a book but it's not in the library? Here is the solution:

You have the opportunity pre-registration Books or books that you would like to read but have been borrowed by others. We will notify you of the receipt of the book by e-mail or letter and save it for you for 6 days.

I didn't have time to read

Did it take you four weeks to read the book you rented? Don't worry about it. If there is no book, then You can extend it twice. borrowing. This means that you can have the book for 8 or even 12 weeks instead of 4 weeks, and only then will you have to bring it back.

It is important that you don't forget to tell us by phone (+36-84/506-598/3 extension), by e-mail (kidskonyvtar@library-siófok.hu) or in person before your loan period expires, because we can only extend it. If this does not happen, you will have to pay a late fee (currently 40 HUF/book/week) for the books returned late. If you are already big enough, you can do this extension yourself from home, all you need is a computer or smartphone and internet: on the page of the catalogue you can see your loans, arrange extensions and download the Qulto eCard application to your phone.

What's a bookcase?

Can you bring the book back, but the library's closed? Or do you just want to rent a new one when you bring back the ones you already have? You don't have to come to our house, but you're always welcome!

At the street entrance of the library we placed a a Book-In-Box, You can put the books in here carefully, carefully wrapped in bags in case of rain, so that they don't get wet! We will take them back on the next working day and then they can be borrowed again.

I would come for community service

We welcome students who choose the library to complete the 50 hours of community service required for the graduation certificate. We can accept students who have a school the Cooperation Agreement concluded with the institution. If your school has not yet done so, then it is also possible to make new agreements.

If you spend part of your community service with us, a designated mentor will assist you in doing so. Your tasks may include arranging library documents, preparing digital works, books for collection, preparing and assisting in the implementation of events, assisting local knowledge work, taking photos, recording data, scrapping processes, creating image and video content.
